In a few words: Expensive but tasty
People seeing me buying this (and weight-watchers stuff) think I am some body-image distorted freak. Its saddening, but I'm learning not to care.
I am not fat. I know this. I am well shaped. So why do I eat "diet" foods? Well honestly, find me a nice tasting half-healthy muesli bar? I have found a few. I end up eating the whole pack they are too nice. These give me a way to try a usually higher protein, low sugar alternative. Not only that, but there's a reason I'm not huge - I dont eat mars bars as snacks (no matter how many times people suggest I could "get away with one")
These cost about $2.20 each ($2 on special)
Here's a picture of a little less than half of one.
Nutrition: Made out of Soy Protein Nuggets (23%) 40g. 620kj/148kcal, 9,5g protein, 4.8g fat, 2.6g sat fat, 7.4g sugar, 6g fibre.
Taste/Texture: Very chewy. I like to eat them slowly. They are pretty chocolatey, a little gritty (soy does that) but totally feel like an unhealthy muesli bar, when at least its high in protein and fibre to keep you full.
Verdict: Good emergency handbag food. These kill my chocolate bar cravings but at the same price as a twix.
I've also tried some of the other bars, will review soon, but this is my favourite of this brand
